Being an average student is a boon as well as a bane. It’s a boon because the expectations will always be moderate. So he/she will have a comparatively peaceful life. It’s a bane because he/she will never get the feel of working on a challenge and achieving it. For any achievement to call it an “Achievement”, it should come with a feeling of ecstasy and pride to have achieved. For experiencing that feeling, a student must experience the whole process of setting a goal to achieve, stretching to meet the ends and keep sharp focus and finally value the toiled and awaited success.
A student who wants to excel in performance has two fold mindsets to handle. He needs to first access his capabilities and second he needs to fill the gap between the required caliber and the existing skill set for achieving that aspired success with it. These gaps help the student to be aware of the direction in which he needs to invest his valuable time and enable him to have a profound understanding of where he stands on that journey.
An effort along with a strong belief can play wonders in this process of achieving a goal. A student, who believes in achieving his goal, makes himself open to all the required guidance from all directions. Timely help of a co student, support of a valuable teacher, and motivation from the near and dear ones, innate confidence to do the best, positive and energetic state of mind, etc., all these are the required guidance I am talking about. In short, a small belief that “I CAN DO IT” can open a lot of arenas of positive approach and state of mind to handle hurdles in the journey till he achieves what he aimed for.
A belief system can be inculcated within yourself to build up the required confidence. Whenever you face a doubt on your capabilities, just repeat this simple sentence over and over again till you realize within yourself that –
“Everyone can do everything…
Just the right capabilities need to be built up…”
Begin looking at your strengths to work with them and sharpen those skills to be an achiever. Only then can you achieve success in all your goals.
Because –
“Excellence is not a Goal, it’s an Attitude.”
