People usually work hard but miss targets. While introspecting, they are well aware that there is something which must drastically be changed to achieve a target. When it comes to really working on the change, they feel clueless as to what it exactly is. They continue escaping the reason why they are missing on this. They pull wrong strings of their mind and get stuck to ultimately conclude that the task is not possible.
No approach road
For years we have driven our senses into this madness of work without really thinking about which can make it easy and effortless to move way forward in the approach of handling our goals to Success.
Speaking from my heart, I was also one of those who have worked more than required on certain things with despair of not finding the desired result. With a lot of effort getting wasted unnecessarily we tend to lose the spirit to continue working on either the same things or hardly think any change is possible in the approach.
Setting your Work-O-Meter
While I fully respect each and every individual’s intelligence and the way they see at goals, I still want to reiterate certain refreshers for those who want to give a new approach to their goals. This is important not only from the perspective of achieving desired result but also from the perspective of knowing that we are putting only the required amount of effort and that too in the right direction with a right approach; so that the success to our goals keep motivating many more.
Some people have good careers, some have massive work experience, some have first hand initiative prone approach, some are radical changers, some have unimaginable working patience, some are path breakers, some are incredible team players, some accede their own expectations, some are classified as pragmatic approaches; any kind for that matter needs all that I am trying to say in few words, so I want you to take this as a wake-up call for your success stories to be heard one day.
Defining your goals is what makes it definite to achieve it. Without a specific definition, a goal cannot make sense. A Goal needs to be SMART:
S- Specific- Unless you are specific it’s not clear. Specific is terrific.
M- Measurable– Unless you are able to measure where you reached, you will not know your progress.
A-Achievable– Unless they are as per your capability they will not be achievable.
R-Relevant– Unless the effort is towards the goal the effort is not relevant.
T-Time-Bound– Goal which does not have time lines is no good
Once the goals are properly defined, your success parameters are all set to begin the journey to succeed on them.
A person who has clear vision of his goals can only move in a right direction.
A student with clear intention to achieve can only aim at that goal properly.
A goal oriented person defines goal as a vision and subsequent direction to move ahead in his pursuit with full focus.
A clear understanding of each goal and the relevance of efforts will decide to put the right amount of attention and will enhance the experience of working on the success seamlessly. While you decide the milestones to your target, you know where you stand on the measuring yardstick. Enhancing your required skill by working on your capabilities will provide you sure success and well within the time lines. Being successful also defines how effectively the success parameters were handled because-
Every Success is the replica of a bunch of parameters which were precisely defined, measured from time to time, added with capabilities, mixed with the relevant effort. So-
“Put your efforts on defining your parameters right and your success is bound to be bright.”
