It is a great experience to grow up with communication gadgets. As a child you learn the best organization skills as you learn how to arrange your applications in a gadget. You get patient because now you can be alone and work or play for a long period of time with the same toy. You develop networking skills as you are constantly in touch with a fleet of different group of friends at a given point of time.
You find information about everything you want to improve. You gain knowledge about the company you have applied for a job. You learn about different courses available at different universities and institutions to upgrade yourself and know about apt course details to choose the best course for improving your other skills. Your speed and effectiveness in delivering a written message grows insurmountably. You gain an understanding of being self-reliant and can manage without any help or information about activities ranging from cooking to shopping to finding entertaining games for playing to seeking an insight on best deals on hospital or gyms or restaurants.
Life seems very efficient, if we are allowed to handle our gadgets the whole day. People treat their gadgets like their breath, without which they cannot survive. Every person is so connected to technology that he is always busy doing something or the other, using these gadgets. With a heap of positives that help you in every way that I tried to narrate above, I feel there may be some more I may have missed.
But one thing is sure, once you are a gadget savvy person you tend to forget time and you get addicted to it.
Some prominent disadvantages of being gadget savvy is that the youth and child of today can’t be found sitting idle; they get restless very soon. For students, it’s a bane because they easily skip from chatting about the syllabus on an exam to other stuff and tend to lose focus. More often, this is unfortunate situation for those who want to focus on their goals in life. They get distracted as soon as they see a gadget. In today’s world, time is money and gadgets are eating away time. Information and networking relationships will be of use only if you have scored well in exams. The pre-requisite of any success is working hard on the basics rather than misusing available time.
It may sound like nagging for every child from a parent, but the criteria of achieving your aim in life has to be clear. A casual approach to this fact can disrupt the whole life and life is a real game unlike unreal games on gadgets.
It’s important to schedule your time effectively and ensure that addictions do not take over your goals of life.
It’s ideal to strongly imbibe this thought in all students, that they could very well get connected through gadgets, but only when they have time left out after giving best on their targets in life because –
“Life is all about what we decide to achieve.”
A thought worth engraving in minds of each student-
“Unless I give my BEST, I will never be able to get the BEST”.
